Celebrate World Breastfeeding Week August 1 thru 7 2000!
Every year the WBW - World Breastfeeding Week pulls together the efforts of all breastfeeding
advocates, governments and agencies to generate public awareness and support.
This year, WBW focuses on breastfeeding as a human right. New research is constantly revealing ever more
clearly that it is not possible for infants and their mothers to achieve optimal health unless the
conditions are created that allow women to practise exclusive breastfeeding for about six months and to
continue breastfeeding, while providing adequate complementary foods, up to two years of age and beyond.
Breastfeeding is a right of mothers and makes a major contribution to the realization of the child's right
to food, health and care.

Sending a card is very easy! Just follow the instructions at each step along the way. We also want to let
you know that the cards are stored in a non-indexed directory so only you and the recipient will know how
to find the card. This directory is also pretty secure from spammers, so send your card knowing you will
not end up on any junk list.
